These do not come naturally, but are acquired through hard work and continuous learning. Our project managers and superintendents are continually working and studying to improve their leadership skills; they are not resting on their laurels – they work hard to make things happen.
John began his career in the construction at the age of 16 when he took his first position as a field survey crew member at a small civil engineering firm in his hometown of Anderson, Indiana. Since that time he has had the opportunity to work with some of the largest construction companies in the industry and has held the position of field engineer, superintendent, project manager, project executive, and vice president before becoming a co-founder of Derucki Construction Company.
David knows what makes projects tick. He brings a big picture, strategic perspective and has the knowledge and understanding of on-site realities to guide big thinking into successful tactics that achieve results. David utilizes his background in architecture to help guide cost effective solutions that don’t sacrifice project design objectives. Before co-founding the company with his long time mentor, David worked for a large Atlanta-based contractor. He quickly rose through the ranks due to his consistent ability to exceed client expectations.
